SCHOOL AGE SERVICES

Our program offers school age children 1st grade through 5th grade exciting age appropriate activities that include: Science and computer labs, arts and crafts, woodworking, music and drama, reading and writing, outdoor and indoor sports activities.  We are affiliated with BGCA and 4-H.  We offer before and after school care, holiday and summer camps that include exciting field trips, swimming, roller-skating, library, and sports.  We provide drop off and pick up services for Price Elementary School. 

Our hours are: Before school 0545-0745, after school 1415 – 1800 (Early release on Mondays at 1230), Camp hours are full day from 0545-1800. Hourly care is also available by appointment. Registration is free and is handled through Parent Central Services.  Fees for this program are on a sliding scale based on income.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AND TEEN PROGRAM

Our Middle School and Teen Program offers youth 6th grade through 12th grade supervised recreational after school activities which promote cognitive and physical health and fitness. We partner with BGCA and 4-H to offer programs that recognize the scholastic and creative talents of our youth.  Youth leadership, educational opportunities, and citizenship building experiences are incorporated through our partnerships with local schools and community.  Registration and on-post recreation activities are provided at no charge.  Fees for off-post extra-curricular activities and field trips vary depending on the cost of the activity.  Transportation and supervision are included in your field trip fee. Bus transportation to the youth center from school is provided by the Yuma School District.

Registration is handled through Parent Central Services Please call (928) 328-3130.  Our Youth Sponsorship Program provides peer assistance to help introduce our programs and participants to youth that are new to Yuma Proving Ground.
